Hello. I'm Len.
I bought a 79 spider auto because I love convertibles and affordable interesting cars. I have the auto so wife and kids can drive it. It is ivory. Ive put a thousand miles on it this summer.
So far I have done the typical timing belt/water pump/tensioner/alternator/acc belt service.
New calipers and rotors in front. brake flush/fill
new tie rods(but i should have started with all new bushings)
new transmission coolant lines, tranny pan filter and gasket
accelerator pump diaphragm, choke pull off on carb, It still seems to be idling high and /or rich. I want to just convert it to a dfev/singler plane system. Or I gotta tune this adha a bit better. Sluggish initial throttle response.
I put a modern radio in it.
Extensive electrical ground and wiring maintenance.
Enjoying it so far.....but the lights!!!!!

Nice job so far. Any pictures? If you put relays on the lights they will be much brighter. Where are you located? Welcome aboard.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it so far. What's wrong with the lights? If it's dim headlights there are lots of options. I went with Midwest Bayless LED and they are absolutely fantastic.
