A couple of questions

1. Fuel sender filter. The little mesh filter sock st the end of tube. Any ideas where to get one? Vendors sell complete unit for $50 but just looking for replacement filter. Maybe another common one fits?

2. POR-15 restoration kit. I used this on my last project. But the baffles in this tank make me wonder if it will work as well. Last time I put a chain into tank with marine clean and shook around to loosen up rust. Anyone restored a tank with baffles have any tips?

Thank you

Un-baffled tanks cost $149 and baffled $179 while the Por-15 fuel tank kit alone costs about half what you might pay for a new tank so when you count in the cost of cleaning up the tanks and time spent prepping it for the Por-15 etc are you really saving much more than $10 or $20?

Personally if my 40 year old tank starts giving me trouble I will seriously consider just getting a new one.

As for the fuel sock a universal one is about $20 you just have to match the diameter of the pickup tube and possibly the length.
