Welcome to the site! You should do a search on Fiat vendors -- there are several posts that list the most popular suppliers. However, you may have to source a used as I don't recall seeing new ones in any of the catalogs (check anyway as I could be wrong). I would also check in the parts section as a people are always parting out Spiders.

welcome, we'll be glad to answer any questions you have about your Spider. The northwest is a pretty active area for Fiats, so you should be able to find some fairly local owners for drives, get-togethers, etc

Hot dog! Another '82 to join us in the lop-sided battle of what year is best.
Welcome to the forum.
A lot of people have a problem with Ebay, but I've have very good luck with purchases from there, I got my '82 off Ebay and parts also, no problems. I frequently see the brake lever and the handle come up. There is a wood (could be simulated wood, I'm not sure) at Spider- Point: http://www.spider-point.com/framework.p ... alogonline#
We're waiting patiently for pictures of your new car.

Re: Where Can I buy a new E-Brake Grip Handle
Thx . I have the pcitures of my car and photobucket but don't know how to get them into the little box like some of the rest of you have . Any help would be appreciated .. Mine is broke right now and I have ordered a part from Vicks ,,the radiator fan switch went out and I was surprised that it doesn't over heat much at all.. it's when you shut it down that it climbs up to 190 Degrees or so.. Will get part Wednesday.. paparlux4 wrote:Hot dog! Another '82 to join us in the lop-sided battle of what year is best.

Re: Where Can I buy a new E-Brake Grip Handle
Hello back at ya ,, thx .. I have two venders from the net and neither have just the grip and one has a used handle ,,but not in great shape . I missed a deal the other day to buy a 79 parts car for $350 but didn't have a way to tow it home some 50 miles away.. This car looked like { Craigs list } to be a fixer back up so between my son and I we would of had a good time with all them nice spare parts . LOL He has a 74 and a 80 . papakristoj wrote:Welcome to the site! You should do a search on Fiat vendors -- there are several posts that list the most popular suppliers. Yes, there is more than one Ron, but as far as I know, only one rlux4. That's me!
You can transfer pictures from photobucket by selecting the one(s) you want, go the the bottom of thier page and select "generate HTML and IMG code". From the page that comes up, select which method you want to copy. I have the best luck with "clickable thumbnails for message boards". Click on that and it will copy it. Come back to FS.com and when you're composing your message, paste it into the message. (ctrl + V). After you've done it a few times, you'll be helping new members do it.

Re: Where Can I buy a new E-Brake Grip Handle
Has anyone (besides me) opted to leave the plastic handle off of their e-brake? Looks nice and shiny, and it totally functional minus the indentations for the fingers.

Re: Where Can I buy a new E-Brake Grip Handle
Well ,,I went out and took mine off and looked it over and still think I want a new one or a real good looking used one ..Danno wrote:Has anyone (besides me) opted to leave the plastic handle off of their e-brake? If I could find the right tri-cycle or bike with a handle grip and the same diameter I might think of modifying it for the push button on the end but it would have to look good .
doubt if I could find one though that would look good and not mickey mouse as they say .. LOL Papa
Re: Where Can I buy a new E-Brake Grip Handle
Being new I see that I made a mistake in thinking that the flu garage is of this forum . It is of your club of fiat members is it not? I like the all the small pics and the page is great too.. papaGOPAPA wrote:kristoj wrote:Welcome to the site! Re: Where Can I buy a new E-Brake Grip Handle
Some of the people on this forum are FLU members, some are not. There are several different forums and clubs, but almost all forums encourage as many people who love Fiats (and Lancias, etc) to join in and have fun. This site is primarily dedicated to the Spider, while there are other sites for X1/9s and the like.
