Looking at changing out the pickup assembly in the distributor. Pulled cap and rotor and the old assembly was nothing but cracked insulation and bare wires. Yikes! So my silly question is: can this be done without pulling the distributor out of the block? Do you just loosen the big nut and yank the entire distributor assembly out or can it be changed out without doing that?

Just watched the International-Auto video on youtube where they disassemble/reassemble the Fiat 124 distributor. I think I'm up to speed now on how it's all going to work with my new pickup. Thanks.
