On a 1979, is the Gasket between the windshield and the cowl (wiper cowl), part of the Gasket that surrounds the entire windshield or a seperate piece.

My 79 had a one piece rubber gasket surrounding the whole windshield glass. I did a total restore and had to remove the windshield frame any way. I think that is what needs to be done if you are replacing the gasket or the windshield. It's a two person job.

The hard part was getting the interior dash to line up with the gasket.
