Fiber Optic Not Working & Unknown Wire

Having trouble with 2 wires. 1 is the fiber optic. Replaced bulb but no light. The other wires (red/black & white/orange) I have no clue and do not know where to connect.

So from the wiring diagrams, I figured that the 2 wires (red/black & orange white) go to connector 30 which controls the 'Remove Key Warning' and 'Seat Belt Warning'. This connects to 2 white wires. Cant find these white wires. Do they come from ignition ????. ANy help or pictures would be appreciated. Also still no luck on the Fiber Optic Light, no light from bulb.

Can you post a photo of the front of your ignition switch where the key goes in? Yes the 2 white wires are part of the original Sipea ignition switch. Most aftermarket switches that are being installed do not have these wires.

If your instruments in the dash light and their intensity is controlled by the dash light dimmer your fiber optic should be working voltage wise. Does the light socket you fiber optics connects to have 2 white wires with red stripe??

Do you think the fiber optic light socket is properly grounded??

As for the second question, yes the dash lights work and are controlled by the dimmer. The light bulb socket has 2 red/white wires(not sure if you can see the images I posted on the 1st post). Thanks Again

Sorry I didn't notice the fiber optic light to the right. That looks like the correct light and socket. The socket needs to be grounded for the light to lite. I am assuming you tried it in its socket and it still would not work. If you have the voltage on the white/red wires to the socket and you feel the bulb is making proper contact in the socket then possibly you have a grounding issue.

This is the ignition.

I tried it in the socket and still no light. Where is the ground for this circuit.

From the face of your ignition switch it appears to be a Lada aftermarket replacement switch. I have not seen any of these with the "key in switch" 2 white wires that the original Sepia switches have. Also the Lada ignition switches should be installed with a relay circuit. The switch contacts cant handle the current that the original Sepia switches were capable of. The Lada switches use a nylon type material mold to hold the contacts and in time it melts from the heat generated by all the current flowing through the contacts.

If my memory serves me right I believe the fiber optic light bulb socket pushes into a metal housing that makes the ground with a small tap on the side of the plastic housing the bulb fits into. I don't have a photo maybe someone can confirm or post photo

The metal socket of the fiber optic light has to be physically touching a ground to work. That's why it's screwed to the frame behind dash.
