I cannot find service in Fargo, ND. Is there info on basic tune up, carburator adjustment and cleaning etc.
I have owned for 47yrs. and it has been stored for 25+ years and am now retired. I would like to get it
back out there. Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.

Re: 1969 124 sports spider tune up
I just bought a non-op 77 Spider in January and used the opportunity to learn the ropes with auto repair & maintenance. I pored over this site as well as the http://mirafiori.com forums, and picked up a couple of service manuals on Amazon before finding the factory manual on Mirafiori. I started with rust removal and replacement of jute in the cabin, then moved on to timing belt replacement, radiator hoses, water pump, and misc. fuel lines and vacuum hoses. I added some new tires and am just finishing up rebuilding my carburetor. Next will be upholstery replacement. I did all that with the info I read on these sites, and with advice members here, and especially from Csaba and Ramzi at http://Autoricambi.com. All I can say is go for it! You have a supportive community here to cheer you on!

Mik - Welcome and this sounds like an exciting project! Good luck and please post pictures. (Although it will take some time before you figure out how to do it....)
I have a Hanyes book that is decent and some of the vendors here sell full shop manuals.
http://www.vickauto.com/newstore/index. ... ts_id=2916
Here is some info from Weber that might help:
http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/v/vspfi ... 0Guide.pdf
And I don't know what you have, but here is something for IDFs
http://www.redlineweber.com/html/Tech/i ... ntrols.htm
PLEASE NOTE: If the car hasn't been run for 25 years, in my view, you SHOULD NOT TRY STARTING IT until you replace the timing belt. A belt that old should be expected to fail and even cranking the engine with a broken belt will bend (at least) 2 valves.
Lot's of help here - use the search function after you go to the general topic of interest. Several posts in the restoration section about bringing a long-stored car back to life. Start there.
Peace.
Out.
