Thank you, I'm new to Fiats and was able to figure that elimating the relay, saved me from paying for a tow. Have been driving it this way for a little while. Now I'm wondering what is the best way to go to eliminate the dual point system?

I thought the preferred procedure was to just eliminate the relay and one set of points.
Which deletes enough impedance in the ignition system that you should install a resistor on the coil.

I have done that in the past and didn't have any problems going that route.

That was the proceedure used to check both sets during tune-up
