New Spider Owner in Australia

Post by crafty »

Finally, after 10 years of dreaming I finally found myself in a position to purchase a Spider. Three years ago I spotted a car that i fell in love with but was in no position to purchase. (large mortgage, two young children) The car disappeared off the market and I considered it gone. About 6 weeks ago I saw the same car relisted by the original owner and decided to take action. Since Thursday just gone, my 1981 Spider now sits proudly in the garage and needs only a few minor enhancements to make it A1. (replaced the cables on the soft top today, all nice and snug now !!)

Welcome crafty !

Where is Oz are you located, are you a member or going to join the local Fiat Club ?

There are a few Spiders around at the moment, so if you need any assistance let me know !

Three years ago ? That's when I started looking to get back into Fiat's - Is it a White or Silver spider ?

Regards

Adrian

G'day Crafty. You're in good company here. Plenty of Aussie Spider owners frequent these pages.

Looking forward to more details.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum Crafty. That's a great story on your car. Lucky you, the owner didn't hold on to it forever!

Welcome Crafty, I'm sure you'll enjoy your Spider.
I was up your way earlier in the year, you certainly have some beautiful roads close by.

Unfortunately SPYDUH was back at home, 900km away, when I took that shot, and the vehicle I was driving would not have enhanced the composition.

Curly,

No unfortunately,

Kids Soccer on Saturday and a MotoKhana with the NSW Fiat Club on Sunday ( it's a hard life )

I'm going on a run next Sunday (29th) morning with the "ROMEO's" Car Club (Retiring Old Men Eating Out )
The run is down to Bulli Tops and the Cliff Hanger Cafe, we'll probably drive back via the Ocean Road, I'll get the picture then !
