FFO Newbie Questions
The Web form is not yet active, and before I mail in the registration, I have a few questions about my first-time FFO:
What to bring besides the usual car-show stuff like folding chair, camera, refreshment cooler?
Concours show; would you spend $25 to enter a "10-footer"?

Re: FFO Newbie Questions
Bernie, all the cars should be on the concourse, The panoramic full field shot is great! The Q is do you want to enter yours for judging. I usually do not, as I feel its not done. All cars are openly welcome, and encouragment and advice abound. Looking foreward to meetin up! Dave ps sun block, dark glasses, and something for a hangover! Plus some chocolate for the B-day girl MD!

Re: FFO Newbie Questions
Hey Bernie ,it will be my 1st FFO,also.I own a 10 footer myself ,but I decided to put her out there and let her be judged! It will be nice to get some feedback from people who appreciate these cars.I have gotten discouraged by the local club shows, where the attitude is ''if it aint a Ford or Chevy ,it aint s#*t''! I jokingly offered one ''ole boy'' today to race him over the mountain for titles. He smartly walked away. I would have smoked him!

Re: FFO Newbie Questions
anyone that brings an italian car to our event and does not display it on the concourse deprives the membership and the owner of a WHOLE bunch.
If you don't feel like having it judged....that is fine, but let me see it. After all, we've been talking about it here on this forum for how long? I need to see it, and you together!
Bring a smile, some sun block, wide brimmed hat and sun glasses. You are gonna be outside from before breakfast until near dinner time. i doubt that you will need your chair if you are anything like me; i prefer to walk around and talk to all my friends and new acquaintances, rather than waiting for them to stop by my car. However, i do bring two chairs in case my wife talks me into sitting for a while.
Bring you camera. I am sure you will find something that someone has done that you want to copy or share with your friends back home.

I've seen a panoramic photo from a previous event; it is awesome!
So I can park on the Concourse without entering the competition?

Re: FFO Newbie Questions
You should be able to. You will be provided a card for the windshield to let everyone know whether to vote on it or not. Hey, if it's bad enough, you may win the "Worst Spider" award. Woudn't it be awsome to have a trophy from your first FFO? I'll be bringing my drop dead horrendous Devil X for a similar award.

Re: FFO Newbie Questions
I have some questions about the FFO, as this is my first as well.
I'm only 17 years old, and I plan on attending with my best friend from high school. I haven't registered or signed up for anything. I plan on spending the night at a hotel different from the place that the event is being held. What I need to know is:
Do I have to register or sign up somewhere to allow my car to be parked alongside all the others?
Do I have to register or sign up somewhere just to attend?
I'd like to have my car included in this panoramic shot I hear about, it would be awesome to be able to point mine out among many others. I just want to know what I need to do to be prepared for all of this. Thanks for helping me out guys!

Re: FFO Newbie Questions
http://fiatlanciaunlimited.org/ Youll need to join FLU, or obtain a $5 daily membership. I believe there is an event fee? See you there!

Re: FFO Newbie Questions
Dave, I don't believe the $5 daily event fee can be used for the FFO, just local chapter events.

Re: FFO Newbie Questions
Hey Nick ,glad to hear you are going to attend. There is an online form, that you can print out at the FLU website that has all events and prices listed. It is well worth the $35 fee to join ,they are great people. It will be my first also ,and looking forward to it .My 17 yr. old son was wondering if there would be anyone his age there. He thinks all Fiat drivers have gray hair! See you there.

Re: FFO Newbie Questions
Haha, thanks for the info guys. There'll be 2 other 17 year old guys there so if he's bored he can come hang out with us. I'll definitely get that form signed and everything. Thanks again!
Re: FFO Newbie Questions
I don't know if I'm going to be able to go now. I'll only be able to make it Friday or possibly Sunday. My father doesn't see the point in paying to go if I can only go for some day, although it is only 35 dollars which I think is fair. Friday there doesnt seem to be much going on, but I'm not sure about Sunday. I'll have to try to convince him anyway. He said I could just go and look at the cars and not have mine be part of it, but if I drive mine all the way down I want it to be included.
If I did just go and look at other cars would I have to pay anything?

Re: FFO Newbie Questions
That may be what occurs. I'd rather have my car in the show, but at least I'll do that then
Re: FFO Newbie Questions
Seems to me this FFO is quite an event. Of course, I'd never heard of it before, so what does FFO stand for and where is it held? If I can convince Christine, maybe I could get over for it next year.
Can someone please take some pics for me
