brake reservoir hose spec?

I'm replacing my 2 little hoses that go from the brake reservoir to the master cylinder and am looking for the specs to source new at an auto parts store.
What is the best type and size of line to use here?

found it- 4mm ID braided hose - now to eyeball the length and find this stuff somewhere

wait- my 78 may need this one: 7mm ID blue braided hose

Go to any classic VW parts shop on line or in person. They will have the 7mm blue hose in stock and cheap.
