It's rare to see any Fiat Spiders at most non-Fiat based events Down Under, but to have 2 on the same run is most unusual. Last weekend our local classic car club hosted a lunch run up into the alpine region close by, just prior to the opening of the Ski Season. We drove up roofless, but swathed in scarves and woollens through the low clouds arriving at the summit to find the village bathed in glorious sunshine. The early snow had melted, but the roads were still quite slippery from the fog and dripping forest.
The Spiders were in their element, but some of the more powerful heavy metal found the narrow, twisting roads a bit of a handful. After an al-fresco lunch, the 2 Spiders headed off together for a chase down the mountain. Absolutely brilliant fun

......... and then it got so bad you couldn't see 3 car lengths in front of you. But it didn't last long and soon we broke through the cloud into bright sunlight.
