I'm working on re installing a transmission among other things this week. read and re read my 2 manuals. read multiple thread here which always helps.watched videos. gaining confidence after getting everything clean and dry fit. my question this morning is that on one of the many instructions that I've read, they suggest changing the top bolts to studs. This seems like it would make mounting easier, IF there is enough room to slide on to them.
Has anyone done this?
Good idea?
Thanks much.

First "knee-jerk" thought...beating up the threads while trying to line the tranny up.
That top bolt is a bit of a pain..

Re: transmission bolts to studs?
that would make removal/installation really tough, there isn't much clearance between the floor and bellhousing
Re: transmission bolts to studs?
that was my fear. I'll stay with mounting bolts and just try to zen my way through it.
