Transmission Rear Seal

Post by WYSpider »

I've been having a great year driving the spider. 5,700 miles so far this year. :D

The car has a manual tranny and appears to be leaking at the rear of the tranny.

Question: Can the rear tranny seal be replaced without removing the transmission?

Yes, but you have to remove the rear yoke, so you will need to remove the driveshaft and will need to use a deep 32mm socket to remove the rear nut on the trans.
