heater valve

heater valve is leaking in my 79 , i did get the kit long ago to replace it, but as for now i can take the hoses off and by pass that valve right. just by taking the hose from the center of the engine and hooking it on to the pipe that runs along the exhaust side of the engine

I used the pieces around the valve and hooked them directly to the core and just put a heater ball valve inline under the hood. Off all summer, on all winter. Works great. Flow direction makes no difference.

ok thanks, i just hooked it so it by passed the heater core for the time being
