Resume your usual summer activities
Resume your usual summer activities
Spring has returned to Michigan, so the rest of you southern states can resume talking about car get-togethers and rides, sunshine and music you play when the top is down. Please resume your usual summer activities!

Uh-oh. There goes that source of amusement.
At least now we can end our self-imposed "Don't drive your Fiat in the great weather to honor our less fornunate brethren" sacrifice.
Thanks pope.

Took a trip to Dundee Michigan today via my favorite two lane highway. one hour and 45 mintues each way.
the trip home in the afternoon was UNBEARABLE. sun in my eyes, and chickies out with their tops down...CONVERTIBLE tops! Geeze...you idiots! I lost count of the number of late model 'verts tooling about with the tops down, windows up and (presumably) heaters on. I also saw several bands of bikers out for their first spring outing as well.
not until i was 20 minutes from home and i saw a TR 6 being pulled out of the storage facility by a broadly smiling owner did i actually wish i was doing something different....like pulling my Spider out for the day.
Yes, Pope. I think you are correct. Spring has sprung in Michigan. 65 Degrees F today and tomorrow!!

I was just about to sympathize with my unfortunate northern buddies. It's been raining and cold for the past week here and the cabin fever I've contracted is about to drive me insane! If it doesn't stop raining soon I may do something really stupid, like pull the X19 out of punishment and drive it in the rain until the floor pan falls out.

It's suppose to get up to 9C... I guess that 48F. For April 6th that's warm here, not 65F(18C) warm but at least it's not freezing. And all the rain has pretty much desalinated the roads.

I just called the insurance company today. The '78 now is legal to drive on the streets. it is supposed to hit 66 F today.
besides, the mower deck is stored behind the Spider in the garage, and I need that out immediately for leaf pickup. So, since i gotta move the Spider, might just as well get some cobwebs off her.

Man I hope it doesn't get down to 66' I'll have to put on my "like new" Members Only jacket that I never get to wear and put the top up. Why are there leaves on the ground? Is there something wrong with your trees?
This probably won't seem as funny when there is a hurricane coming right for us though

66 F is the predicted HIGH for the day......yeash!
and the leave fell after the ground was covered in snow late last fall. Stoopid trees like to make work for me on both ends of the season.
