Hello all,
First post in quite some time. I have an odd issue. I did some refinishing on some dashboard parts. I got some extra ones from George's endless supply of Fiat parts to mess with.
Anyway, I cannot get the little nuts that go into the back of the glove box door to stay put so I can insert the screws. I tried epoxy and I tried gorilla glue. As soon as I put any pressure on them by inserting the screws they spin right out.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tony

Re: Glove box door
do the screws thread into the nuts with ease when holding a nut and screw in your hands?
Are the screws too long and bottoming out?
I would try cleaning out all the glues you have tried so you are back to original material.
Then try an epoxy filler like dyna-tron Ultra Glass or another glass type epoxy body filler. They are stronger than Bondo.
I would coat the screw with silicone and epoxy nut in place with screw in place, then back screw out.
