I've been working in a different location this year. Went down to the main location just southwest of downtown Phoenix to get some tax stuff signed. Before I left, our dock guy, a mexican who just passed his "stinking gringo" exam and became a citizen, has been working on an old 6v bug and we have been comparing resto "fish stories". I drove the Fiat down, since no one there has seen it. When this guy spotted it, he gave me a big smile, a thumbs up, and said it looked like it came out of the Barrio.

I wasnt sure whether to take it as a compliment or an insult (definitely intended as a compliment).

He was rather depressed as he has been working 8 years on the VW and just got it running. Now i am stuck with the quandary of naming the car....after all, its Italian and needs a name besides me calling it "the beast". I took my grandson to his "frosh prom" last saturday night, where he was crowned King of Morp (prom spelled backwards), so that initiated the possibility of calling the car the Morpmobile. The wifey nixed that one, but quick. So now i have to decide if it is an insult to give this sultry Italian sexpot a barrio name.
