I am redoing the flooring in my 1981 fiat spider. I bought the carpet but I was told that I would also need some type of hair cloth to go under the carpet. Is this really good to have? Or not really necessary?
Thanks

EZ Cool is good stuff and simple to apply with spray adhesive. I would recommend using the less strong adhesives in case it ever has to come up for some reason. I used the "nuclear waste" strength and it will only come up in pieces if I or a FO ever has to take it up.
Just remember that anything under the flooring is sealed in there for life, so all rust, dirt, etc has to be fully resolved before putting this in.
I used spray on truck bed liner and EZ Cool, but there are many good options.

There are, however, some areas where rust can be that you cannot get to. My plan is to coat the hell out of these areas in rust inhibiting paint (think POR or something along those lines) and call it a day. If water cannot get in, it should not corrode.
