I was able to remove the upper shifter lever and now I would like to inspect/replace any worn parts with the shifter lever. I know there is a previous thread about it, but it seems like that shifter is a bit different than mine ('72). looking at replacement levers, i notice that the later model has a thread on the bottom, but the earlier ones has another ball at the bottom.
So my question is, does the process/procedure still apply to me or is there a different one to follow.
Thanks
Jeremy
