Ok, let’s make it official; I’m an AUTOholic, at least when it comes to vintage stuff in need of rescue. Thus it’s hardly a surprise I just couldn’t say no to this little Fiat Spider 1500 when it appeared for sale on
http://www.classicdigest.com. I was sold and so was the spider!

I'll try to update the blog as often as I can.
Cheers Andreas

Nice plates -eh..mean tags : )
Anyway, it turns out the first owner of the spider, Jussi Lappi-Seppälä was a bit of a celebrity in Finland. In his early years he used to write boys' adventure books much like "the famous five"
Later on he got into politics and became a member of the parliament (conservative coalition party). Which in turn, led him to become the head of the ministry of housing and communications. This caused a bit of a controversy as the architects’' union in Finland was backing Alvar Aalto for the office...as a result members og the union went to boycott the ministry for four years...Imagine that!

It's been a while...Anyway, the Spider is running, amazingly well with those 30+ years old tyres on snow. To see the whole story so far go to part 2 at:
