Coolant Drain Plug on Block

Post by joelittel »

My shop manual calls for draining the coolant from the bock through a drain on the exhaust side, but the image in my book does not look like what's on my car. Before I dive in and make a mistake that will haunt me I'm wondering is this bolt the coolant plug my manual is referring to? This picture was taken from the exhaust side of the engine, and the circled bolt is just below the headers.

Ha!
Thanks, Joe.
I can't take credit for it, though.
I can take full credit for installing it in my car, but the engine was built and detailed by Andy at Vick Autosports.
I've put 2500 miles on it, and it is performing just great!
