I am located in southern ontario and I purchased an 81 spider a couple of year ago from the southern states. I shopped around locally for a bit before turning my attention southward. The good part about looking for these cars in the states is that they are fairly plentiful and you can find some units in good condition at reasonable prices. The downside is the additional costs associated with bringing a car accross the border - GST, duties and transport costs. You also may need to keep your fingers crossed if you buy a vehicle thats a thousand miles away and you did not have the benefit of seeing it in person or driving it before you send off your money. As long as you do you homework, ask alot of questions and are patient you should do OK.
