81 Turbo T-belt

Post by Indyandy »

My car has sat too long, (15 years). I have been working on it, engine is free. Now has a new fuel pump and filter. I want to replace the t-belt, but what else should I do? I am thinking: t-belt, tensioner, cam seals, cam housing gaskets, and drive belt. Then pull fuel rail to clean injectors. This should let it start and run before I go to brakes. Anything I should do while t-belt is off?

Consider replacing the water pump and having the radiator flushed and checked for leaks.
