78 spider fuel pump repalcement
78 spider fuel pump repalcement
my fuel pump went out on my 78 spider, (fuel got into my oil), I replaced it and flushed out oil 3 times and on the 3rd I tried starting it and it just froze up, it won't even turn.. any ideas?

right off the top of my head i would ask if you got the fuel pump arm above the cam on the aux shaft, im not sure it can go below but anything is possible. im not sure that would lock up the motor anyway.
first i would remove the fuel pump and turn the motor over by hand, then report back
i am assuming that you did not run the engine full of fuel and no oil and wipe out the bearings before deciding to change the pump. was it running when you changed the pump?

I would pull spark plugs and see if a cylinder is full of fuel. Could be it twas not your fuel pump causing all the fuel in oil.
