Well progress stopped because timing belt I ordered for the 2.0 was too long. You may know I just bought this 73 with a 2.0 FI setup on it. Still trying to find out what it is.
One problem is there is NO numbers stamped on the block either above the Oil filter or above the left motor mount. Sanded down paint on booth places and nothing. Cast into block reads 132ABO and 263870. Cast in head reads 132CB1AO 4371507. New belt has part #4911068 old belt # 4182126. Also the new tensioner bearing is a bit larger in diameter but that may just be how they are now.
Any help? Going to try to take a Macro Setting pic with regular camera tomorrow and blow it up to see if there were any traces of numbers in those two places.
Nothing:
Engine number 2.0

Re: Engine number 2.0
the 2.0 tensioner bearings are a larger diameter. It sounds like you have an 1800 in the car

Re: Engine number 2.0
Could it be the stock 1600 and they just threw the 2.0 head and FI on it?
