When i started my maintenance routine the first thing i did was pull the rad bacause the overflow nipple had a crack. Had it fixed, did all the other stuff, put it back together, added a T at the heater hose, rewired the cooling system, new thermal switch etc. put it all back together, ran the car. it seems to kick in at a higher temp than I expected but the fan does work as it should but the radiator is leaking. Not enough to see any drips but there is quite a bit of steam. i dumped in a bottle of sealant but it didnt work at all. The steam seems to be coming from the bottom of the "core" area where it meets the lower tank section. Has anyone ever had this type of thing repaired? Or am I gonna need to save up for a new rad?
thanks
George

Re: Radiator woes
Likely a rad shop would have to look at it to tell. If you need a new one, they are 10% off for a few weeks

Re: Radiator woes
if the header plate is leaking, you will need a new radiator. When the nipple was repaired, didn't they pressure test the rad?
