Replacing the V-Belt

Post by Danno »

I need to replace the V-Belt that runs the water pump and alternator. Am I right that there are two listed because one is for the smog pump (the shorter of the two) which I no longer have?

Also, I've never had a vBelt that has cogs on the underside. is that ok? Seems like it should be fine, just never had one like that before.

OK, cross reference using your box numbers tells me that I need the one on the left in my picture. That's what I thought.

Seems like cogged is the way to go per my google searches. Something about heat dissipation and reduced belt wear from constant deformation...

Thanks!
