It's been a while! I've been super busy with school and work lately. I just got my '76 Spider out of the shop this past Saturday. It had all the tie rods replaced and an alignment, along with a complete brake job. It's definitely handling like a new car now!
I've got a friend with a '78 Spider 2000, and was wondering if anyone could throw some ideas as to what's going on with it. There is no heat and the water temp gauge stays very low. Is this likely a bad water pump? He also says it has a water leak, but I'm not sure how he knows. There's no steam coming out the exhaust and the oil is free of water.
Let me know if there's anything in particular I should ask him to better diagnose this. Thanks!
Kyle
1978 Spider 2000 Thermostat Issues
Re: 1978 Spider 2000 Thermostat Issues
if the thermostat has been gutted or is stuck open it could cause those issues. The leak is a separate issue
