Catalytic Converter
I am trying to get some info from some of you race people out there. How much performance would I gain from removing the cat?

The 80 FI was rated at 102hp. And had the Cat. Don't see why the 85 Pinin would be less...davery wrote:For some reason I thought my 85 was rated at 88HP.vandor wrote:2-3 hp.

Probably right. So what would I gain with a decent header and a 2.25 exhaust system?

Re: Catalytic Converter
You really should do other mods too, not just an exhaust. It is best to modify all components for a given performance level.

I understand and I will over time. I was just thinking of my next mod this winter. What other mods are you referring to? It would be great if some of the websites would have more info on modifications. For example, if had $2000 for mods what should I do and how much power would I gain (at least for the engine mods). What if I had $4000?
