For you folks that have removed the TPH. What did you use to cap off the 2 lines coming into the heater. I just bought a new metal heater line with the nipple....so spending more money is put.

Well, don't the vacuum caps, they are rather weak.
You could run a hose from on nipple to the other.

I put a plug in the front head point and had new (which you can get of Mark now) heater tube made
What is the heater plate suppose to do, stop the butterfly from freezing in cold weather?

I replaced the heater pipe with an early style pipe, and I replaced the T in the heater hose with a Prestone flush T. No capping, less chance for leaks.
