Oil Galley Plug Leak on 1608cc

Hello All - Has anyone had experience repairing the 2 galley plugs on the front-pass side of the engine?

Other sites (non-Fiat) mention tapping and plugging as best method, as opposed to new OEM style brass plugs. Any other ideas? For me, only the front one is leaking.
