Changed out the guibo today. I must agree with previous advice which says to change it when you get a car unless the PO shows it has been done recently. mine looked fine with no breaks, flakes etc but now that its out I can bend it and it shows serious stress cracks at most of the bolt holes. Yikes.

guibos are very stout parts. i've seen them operate fine and vibration free with lots of cracks and chunks taken out. So if you have one in bad shape, dont panic, just replace it as soon as you can.
