I have everything off the front of the engine (to do the belt and seals) but I can't get the Aux Shaft Sprocket Bolt loose. With my chain wrench on the Crankshaft Pulley, the Aux Shaft just jumps a tooth when pressure is applied.
What is the best way to get this Aux Shaft Sprocket Bolt out and the Sprocket off?
Any help much appreciated.
Pete

Re: Need Help With Aux Shaft Sprocket Removal
Remove belt, Put chain wrench on Aux sprocket. If you are worried about dinging the sprocket with the chain, wrap it in duct tape or cut up old belt and wrap it around sprocket.

Re: Need Help With Aux Shaft Sprocket Removal
Thanks!
That worked like a charm! I was worried because I have a plastic Aux Sprocket. I cut the old belt to length and wrapped it around and taped it in place and the chain wrench held really well with no damage.
NONE of this work could have been done without the chain wrench. It is the most used tool I have these past couple of days.
