The last time I played golf (about 30 years ago), I ran out of golf balls on the third hole. If I hadn't rented a golf cart and was racing some other cart, I wouldn't have had anything to do for the rest of the holes.

Love Golf but have not played in a few years myself. The last time I did play more than just a round was in Myrtle Beech, South Carolina on a boys weekend about 25 years ago. Things were different then... it was the 80's, no wife or kids, a pocket full of money. Yep, you can get in a lot of trouble quick in that town.

Enjoy your round of Golf! Too hot in Texas for Golf right now.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

What I do to a golf ball is probably illegal, categorized as abuse. Never was very good at it. The bottle of Rebel Yell we used to pack along may have had something to do with it....

I have always considered myself as a bad golfer. I think golf courses are a waist of good pasture land. All the males ( and some females) in my family play golf. I have been one time just to appease my dad and I hope it will be the last. I have too many things going on to ever pick up another hobby. So I would be the one to take the prize as the worse golfer.

I'm a salesman. And unfortunately, my golf clubs are tools of the trade. A LOT of business gets done that way. But I still hate the sport.

Lately, when a client or supplier suggests it, I try to talk them into gokarts at the local racetrack instead. and a couple of times we've secured hospitality packages at ALMS races, or WSBK.
I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!

Guess I'm the contrarian here. I enjoy the game. I'm not very good, but we have a group of like minded friend around here who get together a couple of times a week for a round. A bunch of couples as well as a few (like me) who's wives don't golf have a nice walk in the sunshine. Nobody gets too worked up and all enjoy a drink at the 19th hole after the round. In the summer we usually adjourn to one of our group's house - with a pool - for a refreshing swim, and of course, more refreshments. All in all, being retired, I find a round of golf a great way to spend a sunny afternoon with friends.

Wow! sounds fantastic. Any chance of picking up a game with your golfing buddies if I was to make the drive up to Storey Creek?

Jim - I belong to Crown Isle - it's only 15 minutes from home - but if you'd like to golf at Storey Creek, that's OK too. Let me know when you'd like to journey up here and I can put together a round or two.
Cheers,
Bruce

Yup golfer here too. Been playing since I could walk. Don't get much time these days to spend 4+ hours of a weekend on the course but I sure enjoy taking my weekly frustrations out on a bucket of range balls.

Crown Isle is good too. Not as good as it once was before the put up all those houses. But, yah, I'll definatley take you up on that. I usually play Cordova Bay so if youre ever down this way...

Tried to fit the clubs in the trunk of the Spider the other day...had to fold them. I'm a much happier golfer now (they were my wife's set  ).
