I was driving up a VERY steep grade today when a copious amount of smoke started pouring from inside the ignition switch. I turned it off and sat for a few minutes. it started right back up and didnt repeat the issue. When i got back i looked in there and the only thing I noticed is the pink wire that goes towards the front of the switch (theres a pink & a white that dont attach to any of the male connectors behind the switch) has a hole in its housing that looks like a melted spot. There are no other stripped or bare wires that i can see. Any thoughts on how this might spontaneously happen?
thanks all
George
