I replaced the wheel bearings but am unsure how to safely secure the axle nut. Supposedly I am supposed to crimp the axle nut but do not have a tool. I don't want to start hammering on the axle and bend it. My current thinking is to cut a small slot with a Dremel tool where the crimp should be then a more gentle tap should crimp it. Whoever last did the bearings did not do much of a crimp and the bolt could have spun off.
I could not find any references on the site, someone must have run into this before.
Thanks in advance for any insight
