they are to keep the door lined up while shutting. there are rubber door guides or lugs that look like these.

Csaba, mine doors align so poorly the my 2 parts dont align right and i am going to have to make a custom pair on knobbies. I have some old cracked full rubber ones. My good one are plastic and hollow in the middle. Are yours full rubber.

no---EDIT they are hollow plastic
check your door for cracks that would need welding---

You know Jay, I always have wondered what those 2 bolts were for but it was low on my list of things to worrie about. Next time I place an order they will be included.

the sad reality is that I had not noticed these until my son asked me. Did I mention he was four? The car takes on a whole different perspective at his height. :lol:

We just got some in that are hard rubber:

They are more expensive because we pay more for them...
I think Mark carries them too, not sure if they are solid or hollow.

However, if they are not lining up, you may have some other problems, like the door hinges are misadjusted, or the door is cracked where the hinge bolts to it and it's sagging.

I have the door lugs made from delrin, so they should outlast the stock pieces for a loooong time
