The other day I started a front end rebuild on my sons 78 1800 124 while it was on the rack I was looking under the block toward the flywheel and noticed the flywheel was exposed. I sthere suppose to be a cover over that fly wheel. When I replaced the clutch last winter I don't remember removing this bottom plate the top on was removed and replaced again. I think the PO may not have replaced the bottom cover. Because the car was on a rack this time I could get a good look at the flywheel from the front. I there is suppose to be a plate and vendors of the part would be helpful. I did not see at Vick's or IAP.
Thanks

there was a cover originally, mostly to keep small animals from crawling into the space

Thanks Mark, Not sure if you are kidding. I though it might be to keep the small animals in that turn the drive shaft.
Thanks George, I will check with Bruce.
