Folding Top Clips not all the same

FYI

Has anyone else figured out that the folding top clips (that hold the top to the windshield) are not all the same. Mine were cracked on my â€™79 so I bought some replacements used from an unknown year. A first look they appear identical, but, after experimentation and a closer examination the replacement pieces are a tad shorter. They will clasp, but much effort is required. I am now in the market for clips that are designed for the â€™79 spider. I hope I can find them?

A closer look revealed that mine are 1/8th inch longer than the replacements I bought. The front portion of the clip that hooks on the windshield is the where the extra length is.
