Regrinding a 2L crankshaft

No experience with a crank shaft regrind. A lot of guys use reground cam shafts where the most important part is a proper surface hardening and sequence for the process. Many people that do cam regrinds skip steps. From what i have read a flame hardening is always prefered to a cyanide bath.

A re-ground crankshaft will need matching undersize bearings, good idea to have new bearings anyway. I guess I'm curious as to why the consideration of a reground crankshaft. I would think picking up a stock crankshaft would be quicker and cheaper?

However, I will admit I'm always learning and amazed at some of the ingenious things people do that I would have never thought of.

2l cranks are starting to get hard to find. We've had several ground undersize in recent months. Bearing availability is an issue, but even standard bearings are hard to find currently

There are quite a few places online to buy bearings... Do most use the same supplier?

The bearings are listed at most of the normal vendors...BUT!!!! They are all back ordered when you actually try to purchase. Luckily I scored some from Csaba.
