Intake manifold

I'm replacing the intake on my 1980 spider, Do any of the bolts go into a water jacket?

i dont think so but the coolant for the choke goes in and will leak if not drained

The manifold is connected to the cooling system, so you need to drain it before you remove the manifold.
It's for manifold heating, not the choke. The choke has two separate coolant hoses.

Yea, Draining the coolant was the first thing I did. That is what brought up the Question, because of the close proxcimity of the water jacket.. I suppose if I use some med. or light thread locker, that should fix any potential for leakage around the threads.
