Whistling, Sucking Problem Solved

Post by clarkedj »

Guys,

Just wanted to Thank all of you that responded to my earlier posts.

As I mentioned my son had dented the the cat conv. when he ran over a curb. The cat was dented and over the next week it deteriorated to the point that I believe it was blocking the exhaust annd causing blow back resulting in the losss of power and eventually not running at all. Sure glad I did not do the head job, Thanks Mark. I cut the cat. conv. out and had it replaced by a straight exhaust pipe ( something I have been wanting to do since I bought the car.) and Voila! Back to running like a champ. Agin thaks for all the support and good input.

P.S. BEEK sorry you didn't stop by had to drink all that beer myself.

Thanks

Great!

And great job following up on the problem. So many times issues are left open ended on forums.
