wiring harness route

Current project work: Finishing up closing up all cut out's in the door panels, floor pan, and rear seat compartment. And peel'n and seal's the whole thing.

Question:
I know this is a dumb question but.. Should the wiring harness that comes from the trunk (not the battery cables), pass through the triangular hole in the left rear quarter and then through the hole in the bulkhead that the battery cables go through (behind the drivers seat)? Mine just flops over that bulkhead.

that is correct, it goes over the rear wheel arch to the inside
