Post by Spyderbuddy »

i was playing the other day and just ran the car up to 5000 rpm and then shift, normally i shift at or about 4000. Well the rotor cap exploded taking cap and button out i just had the dizzy rebuilt with new seals so my question is bad dizzy or just bad button if bad button were do i get heavy duty that can see 7000 rpm shifts

what's a button? I shift over 5k on a regualr basis (not every shift, but when I'm having fun) with no problems.

I would think the rotor was loose and that's what caused the failure

use a couple of drops of locktight on that next dizzy cap screws, and that will never happen again.
