Folks, I've been driving around with the new Exaust system. Vicks headers and 2.25" pipes straight to the muffler. To me she sounds wonderful and the 40/80 cams scream to life at High RPM. She is a little rough under 2000 RPM but still very drivable. With that said. The family is not happy, the neighbors are not happy and the stereo is useless. Has anyone installed an aftermarket resonator on thier exhaust system. I would like to reduce the rasp and noise without picking up that annoying drone. I need to maintain velocity so a free flow resonator is the alternative I'm looking at. However, the last thing I want is for it to sound like a Honda. Any suggestions on a resonator to keep the deap throaty tone but reduce the loudness?
Not really an Engine/Tunning application... but if I get the wrong one it may create backpressure and the need to adjust things. Not really a perfomance mod since I'm just looking to dull the noise down.

Re: Exhaust Resonator choice
I've ordered a Vibrant 2.25" X 12 bottle style resonator. When it comes in I'll install with coupling and clamps in the event it does not sound right. If it sounds good I'll make a video and post for all to hear.
