All part of my learning process. I'm in the process of cleaning my evaporator/separator and replacing the hoses on it. Since the intake manifold and carb are off the car, it exposes a lot of stuff in that area. There are a lot of disconnected hoses, etc... I'll have to tackle those one at a time. One thing I came across was this...

What is it? One hose from it goes across the firewall to the passenger side, then up the side of the block to the water pump area.
By the way, thanks to your tips in an earlier thread, I was able to safely test the starter. It works great.

It's the thermostatic choke off of your carb.
