I am assuming the narrow part of the cone (top of cone in image) slides into the hub first. Is this correct?

Bearing Cone Position in Hub
I removed the hub from my Fiat to install Whoa brakes. Unfortunately the outer bearing cone slide out of the hub before I had a chance to see how it was originally positioned.
I am assuming the narrow part of the cone (top of cone in image) slides into the hub first. Is this correct?
