Hi All

Post by Sib0t »

Hi everyone
Its good to find a forum good source of info on the 124 at last, I have a 1979 CS2 and have been doing my best to remove all that emissions stuff over the years. I have just changed the thermo (it didn't have one) and the heater matrix/heater valve due to over heating and air locks.....yay the job of bleeding all that air, I can't wait :D
Anyway
Hi again and I'm sure to shout once I need you all

Hello and welcome. As Mick says, "We all need someone we can bleed on." Install one of these here, open the heater valve, and fill slowly until the bubbles stop. You're done.

Hey Doug,
You probably thought that Bernie had an engine in there some where. Didn't you know he switched over to a FLUX Capicator? George

That's basically a Prestone Flush tee, parked up on the high point of the cooling system pipes, right?

napa has a variety of sizes of flushing Ts. Much cheaper than buying it was part of a flushing kit. Think i paid under $5 for mine a few month ago. havent installed it yet.
