Fuel injector hose length?

Hi All

WHat should the hose lengths be from the injector to the rail.
Are they all that same or do they need to be different.
I am gathering that as the injectors are not a straight parrallel fit that they will be different lengths?
My no.2 hose is shorter than the others?

I did 3" for each injector using IAP 7.5 mm FI Hose

I cut them 2.75 inches

I originally had them cut at 70mm (close enough to 2.75") and noticed that no1 hose was kinked quite badly but no 3 & 4 appeared to be good. I was also much harder mounting the fuel rail back with the 70mm hose?.

Was is a bit of a chore to get the rail back on at those lengths and were any of the hose noticably kinked?

when i took mine off, it looked factory. actual hose length was 2.36". measurement from cap to cap 2.47-2.48". all 4 were the same length.

that about 60mm, interesting, that seems to be the close to the size of my no.1 & 2 (I think my rail is twisted?). I actually put in back last night, pressureised it and it didn't leak, time will tell.

I have replaced the hoses on a few rails. I think 2.75 inches close enough to the original length. I also heat the hose end with a paint stripper hot air gun when pushing the hose on t he nipples. I fell this makes it easier to get then all the way on. Once the hose is installed they measure slightly less then the cut lenght I think thats because they expand over the nipples.

If you have a kinked hose I would make sure the injector is all the way into the manifled. It is easy to have one hang up and not go all the way in. Especially if one of the small seals stuck in the manifold when you pulled the injector out.
